    Kerris currently holds Blackbelts in Aikido and Tae Kwon Do. He began studying Tae Kwon Do under Lori Corder in the spring of 2004 and earned his 1st Dan Blackbelt in December of 2008 from the Wild Bunch Tae Kwon Do/Karate Association. He earned his 2nd Dan in Tae Kwon Do in April of 2011. He began studying Shodokan Aikido, also called Tomiki-Ryu Aikido, in the fall of 2005 and earned his Blackbelt (Shodan) in December of 2009 from Kaze Uta Budo Kai.  He earned his Nidan in Aikido in May of 2011.  In addition to belonging to the Wild Bunch Tae Kwon Do/Karate Association and Kaze Uta Budo Kai, he is a member of the OSU Karate Club and the Luiz Palhares Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team at OSU. He took over as senior instructor of the OSU Wild Bunch in the summer of 2011. He also continues to assist the Karate Club advisor with the club's weekly practices and the Aikido instructor at OSU with the classes held in the Colvin Center. In addition to Tae Kwon Do and Aikido, he regularly attends both the Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes offered by the Colvin Center at OSU and holds rank in both martial art styles.
